Britt Knuttgen, our President and Senior Legal Technology Consultant,
has over ten years of experience as a litigation paralegal and
law firm network administrator. Britt received her Bachelor of
Science in Criminology/Pre-Law from the University of Tampa and
is a member of the Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice
Honor Society. Shortly after graduating Britt completed her
paralegal certification and became involved in the Roanoke
Valley Paralegal Association, eventually serving as both Vice
President and a member of the Board of Directors. Additionally,
she has been a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA volunteer)
for abused and neglected children since 1996. Britt is also an
associate member of the American Bar Association's Law Practice Management Section. She has spoken at the ABA TECHSHOW a number of times and in March of 2009, Britt was selected to serve on the ABA TECHSHOW Planning Board for 2010.
Originally from Canada, Britt was raised by American parents in
both Montreal and the Toronto area before moving to the U.S. in
1989. She is proud to be a dual citizen and regularly makes
visits back to Toronto, where many of the legal software vendors
we represent are located. She uses this opportunity to expand
her knowledge on these products by regularly attending training
and certification classes.
Britt has extensive experience conducting training on legal
specific software and specializes in tailoring custom technology
solutions for law firms and law-related agencies. She is a
former instructor of paralegal classes at a local business
college, and has also been a seminar speaker for a number of
organizations, including the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association,
